Undo-It! is a utility program that does just what its name implies. It allows you to undo a previous action such as a "save" (instead of a "save as") or a mistake that you have made. There are other operations that this program claims to be able to undo, but this user never got the opportunity to try them. To begin with, Undo-It! was easy to load. That was the last thing that was easy.

Before I loaded this program I tried to access Kissco's internet site. Their site was down all weekend. On Monday I reached their site to see if there were any caveats. As there were none, I loaded the software. Upon completion, my screen froze. Even the screen saver locked up my computer.

I called their tech support. Although there was not a toll-free number available, I only had to wait several minutes before an attendant asked if I wanted to leave a message and have a technician call back. Within twenty minutes a tech called me. I explained what had happened and I told him that I also had CleanSweep installed and suspected that that was the problem.

He said I was correct - that CleanSweep and Undo-It! "did not like each other." He went on to explain that Undo-It! is incompatible with any program that also monitors the hard drive, which includes anti virus programs.

He had me restart the computer in safe-mode and uninstall the program using the add/remove program feature. This solved the problem and my computer was restored to functionality. I told him that I had looked on their web site for such information and suggested that they either put a warning on the box or on their web site. Their technical support was fast, courteous, and efficient. The idea of being able to undo an operation or mistake is good, but given the choice between Undo-It! and an anti-virus program, I choose the virus protection.
