Being two steps from a novice, I decided it was time to do my first review as a new BCPA member. Quick View Plus is a program to give easy access to files in over 200 programs whether or not you have them on your computer. You can easily work with format of text, spreadsheets, graphics, presentations, and databases.
You can: Copy and paste with full formatting. Zoom and rotate graphics. Search for text. View, decompress, and save individual files from any archive. Transfer files and data between Mac, DOS, and Windows. Quick View Plus helps you to communicate freely by viewing and printing attachments from many major e-mail applications. To access anything and frees you from being limited to HTML while on the Internet, and work within you browser windows. New version of Quick View Plus supports the newer formats such as Microsoft Exel 97, Lotus 1-2-3 97, Freelance 97, Microsoft Word 97. Quick View Plus can also be used as a plug-in to Microsoft Internet Explore 3.0. It is easier than ever with this version due to the fact that it you view, print, launch, rename and copy selected files by right clicking, and lets you rearrange directory listings. Quick View Plus also enhances Add- on Manager and MIME configuration dialog easier.
Installing Quick View Plus can become a bit of a problem and frustrating to a beginner due to the Quick Tour startup chapter if not read and following the instructions, which I found very conflicting at times. After several re-runs of installations, I attempted to master my new Quick View Plus software.
Quick View Plus can be started from the following menu:
Desktop.
Explorer.
Taskbar.
Find Command.
Windows program.
Browsers, e-mail programs,and group ware.
