I just know that if I say that this application was the most fun I had in a month, most everyone would assume that I lead a very dull life. Absolutely Not So!!! But this application is so unusual, and you can do so many things with it, that I sat and played with it for days, just to see what it can do, and how it does it. It does it all, and it does it best!

Adobe Photo Deluxe let me put my own pictures, via the scanner, into their application and let me go from there. If you don’t have a scanner you can put in pictures that are on a floppy disk or in a Digital Camera. They have a true step by step guided activity and a very intuitive interface so that it really leads you through everything you might want to do. In the touch-up area you can change the size of the pictures, or the orientation, and you can even fix the color of a photo, you can remove red eye, retouch the face, alter appearances, like air brushing wrinkles away, and remove unwanted elements, and/or insert others. In the "Special Effects" area, you can hand color or tint your picture or change it to look like a sketch. The "Fun" area is where you can distort a picture, or have it look like the picture is in motion, or you can change the perspective. In the "Collage" area you can disguise a person in the photo, or change the background, or even switch bodies, like putting a puppy face on your friend’s body, and then put on a derby hat, just for the fun of it. In the "Cool"area you can make the picture look like it was made in chalk, or neon. Of course, these are but a few of the myriad of things this application can do. Adobe PhotoDeluxe also was good enough to put in a goodly amount of clipart so that you can further enhance your pictures.

In addition to all the special effects, you can make cards together with text, or calendars, even magazine covers with the picture of your choice on the front. You can also doT-shirt transfers.

This application requires a 486 or better, Win 95, 16 MB or more of RAM, a CD Drive, and 70 MB available of hard disk space. It should be noted that this application works with photos in many formats, i.e.. Flashpix, Pict, Tiff, Jpeg, Gif, Bmp, Wmf, Pcx, Eps, Photoshop, Kodak, Photo CD disc, etc.
