This program is a combination of two separate programs. Quicken Small Business Expert contains aids needed to get and keep your small business up and running. Quicken Business Law Partner helps protect your business.
If you are thinking about starting your own business and are wondering whether or not it is the right choice for you, or if you have already decided that this is the road you wish to take and have no idea how to get started, then this might be the program for you.
Small Business Expert is divided into three main parts. Part One consists of preliminary considerations such as the advantages and disadvantages to owning your own business. There is also a self-evaluation quiz for you to take to help you determine if you are entrepreneur material. This part also contains a list of characteristics that a successful business person should possess.
Part two covers the necessary steps to start your own business. The program guides you through creating business and marketing plans. It also enables you to create a detailed cash flow worksheet to project your company's earnings. You will be able to complete and print required state and federal forms that are suitable for transmission. An online link to download state forms and obtain legal information is also available.
Part three covers what it takes to operate a small business. There are 30 professionally written letters, covering every part of your new business. You have the ability to access online information with hot links to the Small Business Administration Office's home page.
Quicken Business Law Partner contains more than 70 customized documents, covering such topics as business agreements, financial and real estate transactions, and corporate transactions. An interview format guides you through everything you need to complete your documents and help insure accuracy. There is a built-in spell check and password protection to protect confidentiality.
A unique feature of this program is a section called "Ask Arthur Miller", who is a Harvard Law Professor and legal editor of Good Morning America. A series of tabs are displayed, covering such subjects as real estate, finance, medicine, estate planning, and other fields. Selecting a tab displays questions related to that subject. Choosing a question gives the viewer an audio-visual answer from "Arthur Miller".
This is an interesting and informative program that is further enhanced by its ease of operation and practicality.
