Eudora® Mail Pro™ is a very ambitious e-mail messaging solution which allows users to manage their messages, work more productively and automatically perform mail management functions. If that isn’t enough, it comes bundled on a CD with a Productivity Toolkit which includes:

• PGP ® (Pretty Good Privacy), an Encryption Security for Personal Privacy.
  
• McAfee ®Virus Scan™, which protects your communications from viruses that may be lurking in e-mail attachments, downloads, or on-line services anywhere on the internet.
  
• Aladdin ® StuffIt ™ Attachment compression and decompression for simplifying E-mail.
  
• Verity ® KEYView ™, a plug-in for instant viewing and printing of e-mail attachments without needing the original application that created them.
  
• Qualcomm Pure Voice™ Player-Recorder for voice encoding. The Player-Recorder permits you to record, send, receive and play back voice messages with the Eudora software interface. You can communicate by voice with the quality of a local call.
  

Because it is such a sizeable program and contains all these extra goodies, installing is a lengthy process. So, don’t try installing this if you have an appointment to keep. During installation an Emergency Disk is created as part of this process. After installation you must configure it (using information described in the Getting Started section), before you can use the program.

In addition to the usual sending and receiving of e-mail, one of the most important elements of Eudora Pro™ is the Mailbox Windows in which the user can create individual boxes and assign certain Personalities so that when the mail comes in, it goes to the proper box. And further, it supplies you with summaries containing various kinds of information about all your e-mail.

Creating an Address Book, in this case, isn’t just for e-mail, there are fields provided for Phone, fax, postal address and notes. These are not included in the out-going messages. Eudora ® also has a direct link to Eudora Email Central (www.eudora.com/central/), which offers a FREE for life e- mail address. Or, you may wish to subscribe to other services they offer.

In summary, Eudora® is an industrial-strength package with minimum overhead, but its most important feature is, it is simple to learn and easy to use.   As Cnet Central would say… its a "Buy It!"
