President Jack Watson read the portions of the BPCA By-Laws pertaining to the election of officers and nominations. Jack then read the slate as approved by the nominating committee and asked for any further nominations from the floor. There being no further nominations, the proposed slate was unanimously voted into office.
The following shall serve as the Executive Board for the 2007-2008 fiscal year:

Norma Searle introduced Helene Stein of the Deerfield Beach Computer Club following the election. Helene passed out a handout, including recommendations for proper paper and envelopes to be used for some projects, and some examples of what can be accomplished using American Greetings Gold Creatacard 7.
Helene opened the Creatacard program and showed everyone the different options available, as well as the included tutorials and project instructions.
Helene walked us through the making of an actual birthday greeting card from scratch. The first thing was to create the front of the card by adding text and pictures. The resizing of the text and pictures to get just the right look was simple and is applied similarly to the other portions of the card as well. The inside pages, right and left, can have as much information and illustration as you want. It all depends upon the card’s purpose.
The back page has some information already on it by default, but this can be removed and you can add your own personalized information. It is suggested that you at least put a statement that it was created by you and possibly listing the software used to create it.
When the card is finished you can save, print or even email. If it is to be snail mailed, there is also an option to set up the envelope; Helene went over the different folding methods and the size of envelope that should be used with each.
There was a short Q&A, followed by the adjournment of the meeting.

The Executive Board met May 22, 2007 at the Imperial Point Library.

Gerry Gerstenberg will be giving the June 2007 program.
Jack Watson will be giving the July 2007 program.
Gerry has obtained the paperwork to have her shown as Treasurer and Bud Fitch removed, for the BankAtlantic account. Needed signatures were affixed during the board meeting with the rest of the authorizations to be obtained and submitted within the week.
The new flyers have been printed and points of distribution discussed. Flyers will be distributed at various locations, some electronically, approximately two weeks prior to each month’s scheduled meeting.
